Parfois picks Tenerife for advertising shoot

Tenerife’s reputation as a prime location for films and advertising shoots has been further enhanced by the news that one of the top names in women’s fashion accessories has filmed its key spring/summer ad on the island.

Parfois, a High Street name with several hundred shops in Spain and over one thousand across Europe, signed American model Abby Champion up for its SS25 campaign, which goes under the name The Journey.

The brand chose the picturesque setting of Garachico in north Tenerife to shoot The Journey, which – according to its website – draws its inspiration from ‘sun-soaked landscapes, endless horizons and the spirit of exploration’.  Champion features in numerous images taken in Garachico’s stunning scenery, which includes pictures of her on a motorcycle against a backdrop of lush vegetation and banana groves.

Selling the attractions of the islands for location shoots is a high priority for the Canarian government, which prides itself on persuading hundreds of companies every year to use the Canaries’ landscapes for films TV series, documentaries and – increasingly – advertising campaigns for products ranging from cars to fashion.

The Parfois spring and summer campaign was launched this week, with the pictures of Abby Champion in Garachico featuring prominently on its social media channels and online sales websites.
