A man who got into serious difficulty while swimming at a north Tenerife beach can thank three surfers who were riding the waves nearby for their quick thinking, which rescued him from likely drowning. The incident occurred around 7pm yesterday evening in Puerto de la Cruz and saw emergency services mobilised to assist the swimmer.
